Ali’i Ohana Hale (Royal Family House), was designed with the nuclear family in mind, although it works well for other arrangements too. The central living / sleeping area is based on the concept of Hawaiian family life. The large kitchen opens to a Great Room, much like a "family room". There are two large comfortable bamboo chairs, pillows for those who like sitting on the floor which face the entertainment center. Directly to the side are two queen size beds. The fully equipped kitchen is sectioned off by a breakfast bar, which keeps the area very open. The formal living / dining room are in an area of its own. Even the keiki (children), have their own "formal" living area, referred to as "the Keiki Corner".
